Succulents

Succulents are plants with plausible sap-containing fleshy leaves. The reason these leaves are so moisture is preserved as much as possible. Where in desert areas it is found but can be found in many locations worldwide.

A large range of plants are covered by succulents. The succulents can be considered Aloe plants, cacti and even orchids. In the succulent family typically are ZZ plants and other common indoor plants. They are common because they are relatively low in maintenance, require little watering or cutting and there is little light needed for some species to prosper.

How were succulents named?

Succulents get their name because of the thick, fleshy, sap-filled leaves that are their trademark. These leaves allow them to hold and retain water more effectively than plants with thinner leaves.

Originally, sucuculents were from dry, arid areas like deserts. Some succulents, like orchids, are also raining, but they grow in branches or areas where the rain does not hit them so quickly. Many succulents come from Africa and other areas where plants have become more effective, efficient and productive storage and use of water during long dry seasons.

One reason of the popularity of succulents is that they're easy to manage. You don't need a lot of water or need repotted (although you can if you wish to for aesthetic reasons). They are growing slowly and need not be cut.

Only the propensity of people to over-water succulents is to be noticed. Even though it is very clearly mentioned that they need little water, people seem to want to water plants every day. For succulents, this does not happen. Test the soil to see if it's dry.

If you water your succulents and keep them in a saucer, remove them and keep them under a tap and drain the water. Or, if you use watering, search later to see if it is located in water when you water the plant. If it is, take it out of the broth and throw it away. If the soil is dry, avoid light watering - always water the plant thoroughly and discard excess water when appropriate.
