Spider Plant

Spider, scientifically classed as chlorophytum comosum, is one of the most adaptable household plants. Spider plant has white leaves orange. Broad, thin, slightly bowed leaves can be produced. It is very easy to grow and to look after and looks pretty in a hanging pot.

Why is it referred to as the "Spider" plant?


The name is because of the presence of its spider. The leaves are pervaded by one mother's plant or crown, and the plant's legs are stolons. The Airplane, Spider Ivy, Ribbon plants and St. Bernard's lily are other common names for the spider plant. There's a legitimate reason for everything. Spider plant is also renowned for its air purification. In the summer, they create small white flowers. Any space in a house is nice added.

Spider plant can adapt to almost any situation. That is why it is one of the best foliage choices to grow indoors. There are more than 200 species of Chlorophytum. Here are some of the most common types of spider plant. genus of 150 species in the asparagus family of flowering plants (Asparagaceae). The plants belong to African, Asian and Australian tropical and subtropical areas, and some of them cultivate as ornamentals. A common plant with long herbicide green and white-strapped leaves is the famous spider (Chlorophytum comosus).

Temperature


The advised temperature for spider plants range from 70 to 90°F. Temperature is highly disappointing. However, spider plants can withstand temperatures as low as 35°F without damage. It does not grow well below 60-65°F, however. TemProSpider would be very vulnerable to toxic micronutrients at temperatures above 90°F. Though the Spider plant will not suffer more than 90 degrees, the transpiration rate will be increased.


Watering

spider may not need watering every day but you can't avoid it absolutely.

Spider plants are fluoride-sensitive and salt-sensitive to tap water. Spider plants with filtered water or distilled water are recommended to be watered. Your plant may be destroyed by tap water because tap water includes several other minerals in its roots.

Make sure your water is at room temperature as well. You can shock and weaken your Spider plant cold or warmer than room temperature.


Water when needed. Water when needed. Insert your finger 2 inches deeply into the soil and feel whether or not the soil is dry. It's time to water them if it's dry. Water every 7 days during the first year of Spider plant to keep the soil moist, but not to sog the soil. Water slightly and drain the excess then. After the first year, when you know the soil is dry, you can still water it.

Light

Lighting is an important factor in your spider plant's growth. While spider plants can grow in a variety of conditions, you should put it in a bright and indirect light if you want your plant to prosper. The plant can be killed by direct, hot light. Spider plants are also ideal for semi-shady areas. For your Spider plant, 12 hours of indirect, sparkling sunlight would be a marvel.

Soil

In aerated, well drained soil, the spider plant grows very well. For Spider plants, you can use general soil poting, but the soil should be very alkaline ( pH level of 6.0 and 7.2.).


Fertlizing
Spider plant is a powerful plant that needs little fertilization. However, fertilize your Spider plant every 2-3 weeks if you are to improve the growth of your plant. Be mild in fertilization because brown leaf tips result from fertilization. The plant may also be destroyed. 


Humidity
Average moisture is fine for spider plant, leaning slightly to a colder climate. The moisture in most houses is poor during winter. You should also deceive your Spider plant in order to help it survive as well as in summer. In addition, dung can defend the plant against spider mites and other pests attacks.

You can also put your Spider plant in your bathroom when you take a hot shower, as a trick to improve your plant's moisture.
